Wagon Wheels and Jammie Dodgers maker Burton’s Foods has named Kraft Foods executive Steve Newiss as the UK biscuit maker’s chief commercial officer.
Newiss, vice president of European sales at the US food giant, will take the new role with immediate effect.

CEO Ben Clarke said Newiss would “significantly benefit” the business and added: “He will be invaluable in unlocking the significant potential of our business afforded by the significantly upweighted investment following the successful completion of our corporate refinancing last year.”
