Esom joins the investment fund having previously served as executive director of food for Marks and Spencer. Prior to that he was managing director at Waitrose.


Langholm said that in his role as an operating partner Esom will draw upon his “extensive industry experience” to provide support to the company’s portfolio businesses and will work with the appropriate investment teams in appraising potential investment opportunities.


Langholm specialises in investing in mid-sized FMCG companies and its portfolio includes Dorset Cereals and Tyrrells Potato Chips.


Esom will also join the Tyrrells board as a non-executive director.
