UK food ingredients manufacturer Macphie of Glenbervie has appointed Andrew Underwood to lead its sales and marketing operations.
Underwood replaces former commercial director Ronnie Leggett, a spokesperson for the Macphie said today (26 August).

Prior to joining Macphie, Underwood worked for foodservice operator Brakes, Schwan’s Consumer Brands, The Coca-Cola Co. and most recently Authentic Foods.
Chief executive Alastair Macphie said: “Andrew’s impressive track record in food service, food manufacturing and retail will be a great asset to the company. Andrew has responsibility for developing our sales, marketing and customer services teams and expanding our GBP41m (US$66.7m) revenue. This is a crucial role at the heart of Macphie’s future growth strategy, and I am confident he will rise to the challenge.”
Underwood is expected to divide his time between the company’s headquarters in Glenbervie and Manchester.
