Mars has denied claims it will bring back its iconic “Work, Rest and Play” slogan.
The confectionery giant quashed reports in the UK that it planned to resurrect the strapline some ten years after it was pulled.
Mars said it has used a variation of the slogan for its Mars Refuel beverage brand since April but insisted the original strapline would not be making a wider return.
“Since April, Mars Refuel has been using a strapline which reads ‘Work. Rest. Play longer.’ as part of campaign to promote the chocolate milk drink,” a Mars spokesperson told just-food this afternoon (13 September).
“There are no plans to revive the original ‘Work, Rest and Play’ strapline across the wider Mars product portfolio.”
