Milk Link has completed its acquisition of the Llandyrnog cheese creamery.

The deal was negotiated with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, receivers to Dairy Farmers of Britain, and secures the future of the Welsh creamery.

Financial details were not disclosed.

A spokesperson for the company told just-food that the creamery complements Milk Link’s existing cheese business, expanding its product line-up to include a “full range” of British cheeses.

Milk Link was attracted to the creamery for its customer base, “great cheeses” – including cheddar, red Leicester and Gloucester – and for the “well invested facility” with experienced staff, the spokesperson added.
