Marks and Spencer told just-food today (12 February) that the company is not facing an exodus of some of its leading executives, following a report in the Financial Times which suggested three senior directors were considering leaving the company.
According to the report, Andrew Moore, director of general merchandise, is preparing to retire, while Matthew Hudson, director of lingerie, and retail director Anthony Thompson are evaluating their futures with the company.
While the company declined to comment on rumours of Hudson’s impending departure, a spokesperson did deny speculation that Thompson was in talks with head-hunters. “He very much remains our retail director,” an M&S representative said.
