Nestle said sales of Aero chocolate had grown by 8% in the last 12 months and claimed the biscuit bar would “continue this success”.

Trade communications manager Graham Walker added: “We’re really excited about moving the iconic AERO brand into the biscuit category. Aero Biscuit is set to bring new consumers who currently buy into chocolate confectionery into the biscuit category.”

The biscuit, with an RRP at GBP1.52, contains 99 calories and contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
