Danish discounter Netto has announced plans to open a further two stores in the UK next month.
The two UK stores, located in Wigan and Wirral will bring the total number of Netto stores to 188 and will create 24 jobs.
Both stores will open on 4 September and have each had GBP2m (US$3.74m) invested in them.
The Hindley, Wigan store will have a sales area of 8547 square foot with around 1,400 core lines – a third of which are famous name brands, the retailer said.
The Wallesey, Wirral store, which will be the 188th Netto supermarket in the UK, will have a sales area of over 8740 square foot.

By GlobalDataA spokesperson for Netto told just-food: “In January 2008, Netto announced plans to open a minimum of 20 stores a year and the company has already opened eight new supermarkets this year.”
Netto employs 3,500 staff in the UK and stocks both branded and own label products.
