UK egg producer Noble Foods, the owner of the Happy Egg Co. brand, has launched a line of organic free-range eggs.
The Mac’s Farm eggs will be available in packs of six in Tesco stores across south-east England. They have been produced by the Macs farming family, who converted to 100% organic egg production in 1997.
Caroline Beatty, brand manager at Noble Foods, said: “The values of this outstanding family-run business perfectly complement and reinforce our own – producing high quality, delicious eggs from hens that enjoy an enriched and happy life. The Mac family are hugely passionate about what they do and their family ethos certainly highlights this. We’re really pleased to be working with the Mac family to launch this product into Tesco stores and look forward to the reaction from their customers.”
The Mac’s Farm organic eggs will be available in selected Tesco stores at an introductory price of GBP1.95 (US$3.28) until 3 June and then at around GBP2.20 thereafter.
