North Downs Dairy (NDD) has appointed former Irish Dairy Board marketing director Alastair Jackson as its managing director.

Jackson succeeds Mike Davies who retires at the end of April after five years with the company.

Having held a previous role as commercial manager for North Downs Dairy, Jackson is currently marketing director of the consumer foods division, Irish Dairy Board (Dublin), where he has worked on the international development of the Kerrygold brand.

He will be taking up his new appointment and working alongside Mike Davies in the coming weeks.

“Alastair will bring real value to the company, and I know the team is looking forward to working closely with him once more. I have every confidence he will rise to the challenge ahead,” Davies said.
