UK convenience foods maker Northern Foods today (Thursday) announced the successful move of its headquarters offices into new premises to the east of the city of Leeds.
A total of 130 employees are moving into the building on a phased basis over the coming months, the company said. The new offices will provide over 60 hot desking spots for visiting employees and guests, so that they can work away from their own offices. The new premises also include a demonstration kitchen.
“We are delighted to have found such a well positioned new home for our business,” said chief executive, Pat O’Driscoll. “Staying in the North of England was important to us but, with our business spread out across nearly 40 sites in Britain and Eire, we needed a location which offered good transport connections. In Leeds we will benefit both from the city’s modern infrastructure and from great access routes to locations across the UK.”
The company’s existing headquarters in Hull is to be demolished later this year as part of a regeneration scheme for the city centre.
