Northern Foods, a UK food manufacturer, has reached an agreement to sell Dalepak Frozen foods to the Irish Food Processors Group.

The deal is expected to be worth GBP6.4m (US$10.2m).

Dalepak, which is based in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, supplies frozen food products including meat and meat-free grills under the Dalepak, Ross and Grassington’s brands.

Some 143 Dalepak Frozen Foods employees are expected to transfer to the Irish Food Processors Group.

Northern Foods said the division posted a marginal loss on GBP23m sales for the year to 3 April 2010.
