PepsiCo UK and Ireland has appointed Sebastian Micozzi as head of marketing for Walkers Crisps.

The crisps manufacturer said today that Micozzi will report to Ian Ellington and be responsible for leading the 28-person UK marketing department, covering all Walkers crisps and snacks brands.

Micozzi was head of marketing for the Pepsi Bottling Group franchise in Spain, where PepsiCo said he was responsible for introducing an award-winning  digital and social media strategy for Pepsi, which resulted in 23 months of consecutive market share growth for the brand.

He takes over from Greg Lyons who has been promoted to VP Marketing, PepsiCo Beverages Canada, reporting to PepsiCo Beverages Canada president Richard Glover.

“Sebastian has worked for PepsiCo for 13 years and has a proven track record in delivering excellent results. He has outstanding marketing skills, a strong business sense and entrepreneurial flair; attributes which will make him an exceptional leader of the Walkers’ marketing department,” said Ellington.
