Organic baby food company Plum Baby has announced the launch of a range of ready-to-eat breakfast pouches.
The UK firm said today (20 June) that it plans to offer two varieties – Banana and Apricot Oaty Porridge and Prune, Peach and Baby Rice.
The banana and apricot porridge is based on a traditional home made porridge recipe, while the prune, peach and rice product is gluten and dairy-free.
The company said the range has been created in “direct response to requests from 25,000 Plum Mums who wanted an easy and healthy breakfast alternative”.
CEO Paul Kaye said: “Feedback from our Plum Mums has shown that mornings can often be the busiest time of day for parents. This is why Plum has created a range of convenient breakfast pouches – to provide a helping hand for mums that simply don’t have the time to make their baby’s breakfast from scratch.
“Plum new breakfast recipes can be enjoyed by babies from weaning onwards and are packed full of healthy, wholesome ingredients that ensure the best start possible to their day,” he added.
The products will be available from Asda, Co-op, Sainsbury’s Waitrose and online from Ocado from late June. It will have an RRP of GBP0.99 (US$1.6) for 100g.
