UK food manufacturer Premier Foods has appointed former Kraft executive Stuart Wilson as director of ambient – sweet.


Wilson, who succeeds Jill Caseberry, spent 14 years at Kraft Foods in various roles, including, most recently vice president of Kraft’s EU biscuit category, and previously vice president of EU strategy.


In his new role, Wilson will be responsible for developing profitable growth in the cakes, desserts, home baking, spreads and beverage categories, and managing Mr Kipling and Cadbury cakes, Ambrosia and Bird’s desserts and Hartley’s, Robertson’s and Frank Cooper’s spreads and preserves.


“Premier Foods is the UK’s largest food manufacturer with a terrific portfolio of brands,” Wilson said. “The business has gone through a successful period of integration following the acquisition of Campbell’s UK and Irish business and RHM.


“This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a highly committed team to drive growth during the next phase of the company’s development.”
