Premier Foods has relaunched its range of Ambrosia Layers desserts with an “improved” recipe and “revamped” packaging.


A GBP1m (US$2m) TV ad campaign will roll out this summer to support the relaunch along with promotions and point-of-sale material in store.


Available in twin-packs, the desserts come in a range of flavours, including custard with chocolate layer and custard with caramel layer, both made using “richer, dessert-style custard layered on top of delicious sauces”, Premier said.


Other variants in the range include custard with rhubarb compote, custard with peach compote, rice dessert with raspberry & blackberry sauce and rice dessert with strawberry sauce.


“All products in the Ambrosia Layers range have scored incredibly highly in taste tests,” said Ambrosia marketing controller Michelle Wilde.
