UK food group Premier Foods plc has launched its Bisto and Oxo gravy and stock brands as a concentrated pastes.
Oxo and Bisto will now be available in a squeezy tube format, Premier said today (14 March). The group is debuting Bisto instant roast gravy, in beef, chicken and onion varieties, alongside Oxo squeezy tube stocks in beef, chicken and vegetable flavours.
“We are thrilled to be injecting some much needed excitement into the gravy and stock category with our market leading NPD: Bisto instant roast gravy and Oxo squeezy tubes,” Premier marketing controller for gravy and stocks Fiona Johnston said. “Today’s consumers are looking to cook from scratch as much as possible but are short on time and unwilling to compromise on taste and our latest innovation provides the solution.”
The launch will be supported with press, in-store marketing and bespoke point of sale merchandising, Premier said.
The innovation comes on the heels of Premier’s move to expand the brands with a line of gel stocks last year.
