As part of its brand facelift, Rachel’s Organic has announced a move to reduce its carbon footprint by switching to biodegradable cardboard instead of plastic in its large yoghurt containers.

Commenting on the packaging change, marketing director Steve Clarke said: “Rachel’s Organic stylish new pots provide an environmentally-friendly solution to packaging our yogurts. The new pot will vastly reduce the non-renewable waste currently going to landfill and uses cardboard, a wood derivative, as a renewable source for the recyclable component.”

Last month, the organic dairy company revealed a new look for its range.
