In an attempt to expand its presence in the frozen Asian ready meals sector, RHM Frozen has announced the introduction of two new Sharwood’s ranges.


Aimed at two people, Sharwood’s Stir-fry Range can go straight from the freezer to the wok and is initially being launched in two varieties: Thai Red Chicken Stir-fry and Chicken and Mushroom Stir-fry. Meanwhile, the one-person serving of Sharwood’s Steam and Shake range will also initially come in two flavours: Chicken Chow Mein and Chicken Jalfrezi.
 
Both the ranges contain no artificial colourings or flavourings and contain up to two portions of the recommended daily five portions of fruit and vegetables.


“Consumers are increasingly demanding products that fit around their busy lifestyles. However they are becoming more aware of the importance of leading healthier lifestyles and eating nutritious well-balanced meals,” comments Alain Chua, brand manager at RHM Frozen. “The new Sharwood’s products offer one and two person households the perfect answer – healthy, convenient and importantly good quality meals – the ideal solution for today’s consumer.” 


Sharwood’s is currently the third largest brand in the frozen Asian ready meals sector according to TNS figures, with a 7% share. RHM’s new ready meals target one and two person households and aim to provide easy and convenient yet nutritious meal solutions.
