UK: Ricola targets healthy confectionary market

Healthy confectionary manufacturer Ricola has launched two new varieties of its sugar-free healthy candy that contains natural herbs.

Healthy confectionary manufacturer Ricola has launched two new varieties of its sugar-free healthy candy that contains natural herbs.

The cranberry and elderflower flavours are both said to contain mountain herbs that refresh and relax. Other existing flavours within the range include LemonMint, Original Herb and Blackcurrant.

Ricola is the only confectionary range to use herbs derived from fresh plants.

Specifically targeted at the adult market, Ricola aims to fill the growing niche for healthy, functional sweets. 
 
Peter Atkinson, business development manager of Cedar Health said: “This is an exciting development for the Ricola brand proving that the healthy confectionery market has grown considerably in the last year. As leaders of this category, we aim to provide unique products that will satisfy the health-conscious consumer.”
