The company currently supplies The Co-op with around 142m litres per year across Scotland and the south of England. The volume will now be equivalent to around 116m litres on an annualised basis.

The additional volume will be delivered to The Co-op’s regional distribution centres in the north of England.

Robert Wiseman, chief executive of Robert Wiseman Dairies, said: “The Co-operative Group has been an important customer for many years, and we are very pleased to extend our relationship by supplying this additional volume.

“We have an efficient and well invested network of dairies covering the country, a sound balance sheet and we move into the new financial year with confidence.”
