Sainsbury’s has announced that all of its private-label chocolate Easter Eggs will be accredited as Fairtrade this year.

The UK retailer said the range is made in Belgium using west African and Ecuadorian Arriba cocoa beans and dairy milk. The eggs are available in creamy milk, dark and white chocolate in two sizes.

The range is priced between GBP2-6 and contains eight products.

Sainsbury’s said the products offer customers “twice the feel-good factor” allowing them to enjoy “delicious chocolate goodies” while knowing they are helping some of the world’s poorest communities.
