The Food Standards Agency has received further information about soy sauce products from two manufacturers whose products had previously been tested by the FSA.

Following FSA tests of 100 samples published on 20 June, 22 products, sold mainly through specialist shops, gave cause for concern.
The tests, conducted last year, found levels of 3-MCPD, common in many foods, over the EU legal limit that comes into force on April next year.
Now two of the soy sauce manufacturers whose products were named have told the Agency that they have reduced the 3-MCPD levels in their current products.
The information that the Agency has been given is in the form of certificates of analysis from accredited, reputable laboratories.
