SPAR International has launched an “economy” own-label range on sale in seven markets into the UK.

The symbol retailer said yesterday (10 August) that the S Budget line would hit shelves on 29 August.

The 33 products include fresh and grocery products from baked beans and pasta to cheese and chocolate.

Susan Darbyshire, brand director, for Spar’s UK arm, said: “This fantastic range of products has been developed to drive down the cost of local shopping, and encourage customers to do their top-up shopping at Spar. We want to show shoppers that they can find value for money as well as convenience in Spar stores, and make sure our retailers have the products in the range that will drive customer loyalty for the future.”

The S Budget range first went on sale in Austria and is on sale in markets including Ireland, Italy and the Czech Republic.
