Tate & Lyle veteran Tim Lodge has been named as the UK ingredients group’s finance director.
Lodge, 44, has spent over 20 years at Tate & Lyle and is promoted from his roles as acting group finance director and director of investor relations.
He succeeds John Nicholas, who left Tate & Lyle by “mutual agreement” in September.
Chairman Sir David Less said: “Having worked for Tate & Lyle in a variety of senior operational and financial roles for over 20 years, Tim’s comprehensive knowledge and understanding of our business will be of great value to the board.”
Lodge’s previous roles at Tate & Lyle include MD of Zambia Sugar and finance director of the company’s food and industrial ingredients division.
Last week, Tate & Lyle announced the appointment of Sir Peter Gershon as chairman-elect. He will replace Sir David Lees as chairman by the end of next year.
