UK crisp manufacturer Tyrrells has appointed Anne-Laure Follie in the new role of international marketing manager.

The company said today (13 June) that the move is part of plans to drive further growth overseas. Her priority will be to boost consumer awareness of the Tyrrells brand internationally.

In March, Tyrrells reported a 50% jump in international sales to reach GBP7.5m. The company said it is on track to double international sales to GBP15m, with big pushes also planned for the US and Canada.

Follie joined the company in May from Green & Black’s, the Kraft Foods-owned chcoolate maker, where she was global category manager for gifting and seasonal products and responsible for the “development of innovation”.

Tyrrels, meanwhile, also said it has launched a campaign to fuel its growth in the UK’s premium crisp channel. A spokesperson for the brand told just-food that a core element of the shift is the complete re-design of its portfolio, where each flavour features a quintessentially English and “rather quirky” black and white photo that dramatises the seasonings used in the range.
