UK-based chilled foods group Uniq has confirmed that it has recently received unconnected approaches from two parties in respect of potential takeover offers for the company.
The company said it believes that the proposals made “undervalue the business and prospects of Uniq”. It therefore rejected the proposals, which were both subject to substantial uncertainties and significant due diligence.
The pan-European company, which makes salads, ready meals and other convenience foods for supermarkets, said it was making the statement in response to recent press speculation.
