United Biscuits has launched a snacks range in the UK that combines nuts, sweet biscuits and fruit.
The company said today (22 August) that KP Nutty Nibbles had been developed in response to increased demand for sharing bagged snacks. The category, it said, is worth GBP633m (US$1.03bn) and is growing at 11%.
The two variants, Biscuits & Chocolate Nut Mix and Fruit & Chocolate Nut Mix, will be available in a 130g sharing pouch with a MRRP of GBP2.40.
George Johnston, marketing director of bagged snacks at United Biscuits UK, said: “KP Nuts is performing extremely well at the moment, generating GBP45m in retail sales value and growing by 10% as sharing snacks at home continues to be one of the main consumer trends driving the market.
“This new KP Nutty Nibbles range utilises the unique combination of tasty family favourite biscuits, the finest quality nuts from KP and delicious and juicy fruit to create something really special to share with family and friends.”
