Hebridean biscuit maker Island Bakery Organics has announced that it has secured a contract with US organic and natural foods retailer Whole Foods Market, a move that will see production increase by over 50%.
The business, based in Tobermory on the Scottish Isle of Mull, is to supply its new range of organic biscuits to Whole Foods Market stores in the US beginning this autumn.
Whole Foods recently bought UK organic chain Fresh and Wild, which recommended the Scottish biscuits for inclusion in its US stores.
Island Bakery biscuits can already be found in Harvey Nichols, Fortnum and Mason, Selfridges, Peckhams and several independent delicatessens, farm shops and organic retail outlets.
