UK retailer Waitrose has reorganised its retail services division in order to increase its focus on improving “customer experience”.

The company has moved Helen Keppel-Compton, currently head of procurement, to retail services director.

Around 100 employees will leave the division – with 75 people being redeployed within Waitrose and 13 redundancies, a spokesperson for the group confirmed.

The spokesperson said the new retail services team covers three areas. These include: “retail coordination (the central point of coordination for all of our branch/store activity), customer experience and retail change.”

“One of the main changes is a team specifically geared around the customer experience,” the spokesperson emphasised.
