Alfesca, parent company of UK firms Lyons Seafoods and Farne Salmon, has promoted Craig Walker to the role of chief executive of its local operations.
Walker, the managing director of Lyons Seafoods, will become CEO of Alfesca UK when Ole Norgaard retires next month.
Walker became deputy CEO earlier this month to ensure a “smooth transition” to the role. Even after he becomes CEO, Walker will remain MD of Lyons Seafoods.
Prior to joining the company last year, Walker worked for food manufacturers including Danone.
Norgaard joined the company 14 years ago following its buy-out from Allied Domecq.
Alfesca also announced that Lyons Seafoods current sales director Jonathan Hodgson will be responsible for all the UK sales activities of Lyons Seafoods and Farne Salmon from November. Farne Salmon sales director Barry Chung will report to Hodgson.
