Whole Foods Market has remained silent on reports that it is preparing to invest in expanding in the UK market.
According to a report in Marketing Magazine, Whole Foods is preparing a second push into the UK after its previous bid to expand in the country ground to a halt under losses of GBP35.9m (US$57.2m).
The magazine claimed that the natural and organic retailer will open stores that fall between the size of its expansive flagship outlet in Kensington and its four smaller London stores.
When contacted by just-food, a spokesperson for the company declined to comment on the group’s plans for the UK.
