The UK’s Woodward Foodservice has said it has added three new distribution centres and expanded its sales team to roll out its grocery and chilled range to cover the whole of the UK.
“Taking our grocery and chilled offering to a national level was the next step for Woodward in our strategy to offer a quality alternative to the larger players in the
foodservice market,” said Dave Howarth, buying and marketing director.
Woodward supplies over 20,000 businesses including many independent pubs and restaurants.
Woodward said it also launched its fresh meat service in the Midlands this month and plans to mirror the grocery and chilled rollout by taking the specialist fresh meat offering nationwide by 2005.
