
Unilever has launched a crème fraiche alternative under its Elmlea brand.
The group said the product has been launched "in line with consumer preference for healthier, lighter versions of crème fraiche". It contains 50% less fat than normal creme fraiche products.

Elmlea Fraiche is available now in Morrisons at GBP0.79 (US$1.25) with a staggered roll out set to take place across the wider grocery from October.
