Unilever has lifted the lid on a new Pot Pasta product in the UK – “inspired” by its domestic Pot Noodle brand – which will launch in the country next month. 

The new Pot Pasta line “features the nation’s favourite pasta recipes” including Beefy Bolognese, Creamy Carbonara and Cheesy Broccoli, in a “convenient snack pot format”, Unilever said.

Monique Rossi, marketing manager at Unilever’s UK operations, said the group is “continually looking at ways to ensure we are providing innovative, great-tasting products that are quick and convenient to eat”. She added: “The move into pasta made sense for us. We can offer something new for Pot Noodle fans to try as well as open up the brand to a new audience.”

Pot Pasta will be available across the UK from 1 July at an RRP of GBP1.39.

A spokesperson told just-food the product, which is only being launched in the UK, is “the first Pot Pasta in the market”.
