United Biscuits CEO Martin Glenn is to leave the McVitie's maker to become CEO of the English Football Association.
Glenn, who joins the FA next month, will be succeeded at United Biscuits by Jeff van der Eems, currently CEO of the UK-based firm's international business.

Glenn said: "This has been a difficult decision, as I have had a hugely enjoyable – if challenging time – at UB. I am very sad to be leaving the business, but the opportunity with the FA is just too good to pass up, as I am sure many people understand."
Van der Eems has been CEO of UB International since April 2013. He had been the group's chief operating officer and chief financial officer, with responsibility for leading UB International, the business's finance function and all M&A activity.
"I am thrilled to be taking over as CEO of UB from Martin," van der Eems said. "The business is in a strong position to continue to grow both at home and abroad, especially with the support now provided by Yildiz Holding. I would like to thank Martin for all his efforts during his time at UB. We will continue to build on UB’s strong foundations and spearhead the business for long-term sustainable growth."
United Biscuits was acquired by Turkish food group Yildiz Holding earlier this year.
