United Biscuits has announced the launch of Jacob's Cracker Crisps in the UK, bolstering its range of savoury bagged snacks in the country.
The new product will be available in three variants: sea salt and balsamic vinegar; thai sweet chilli; and sour cream and chive. Initially, the snacks will be available in a 150g sharing bag, with 40g bags due for launch later in the year.
The company said the product broadened Jacob's footprint in the savoury category as a whole. Yildiz Holding-owned UB recently revamped the Crinklys range and has launched Oddities in the savoury space.
"We have over a century of baking expertise and our products are loved by consumers around the world. Our portfolio is 100% baked, and with an ever-increasing emphasis from consumers on healthier eating, snackable crackers are poised to boost further growth in the category at large," said Ted Linehan, director of savoury brands at United Biscuits. "This is a major launch for UB following our recent moves in this space, cementing our position as the consumer go-to in sharable baked snacks."
Jacob's Cracker Crisps have an RSP of GBP2.09.
