US nutritional group Abbott has expanded its line of Similac infant formulas.
The company said yesterday (17 May) that three additions have been made to the Similac range to address issues such as fussiness, gas and nutrition for older babies.
“Every baby has unique feeding needs, and what might fit well into one baby’s diet may not work for another,” said Scott White, vice president and general manager of paediatric products, Abbott Nutrition.
Similac Sensitive is made with a blend of carbohydrates to help reduce fussiness and gas due to lactose sensitivity.
Similac Sensitive RS, made with added rice starch, is a formula designed to help reduce the frequency of common spit-ups.
