A near-doubling in UK sales after last summer’s acquisition of a batch of brands from Premier Foods plc was a key factor in Hain Celestial posting quarterly net sales of $456.1m, up 21.4% year-on-year.
Nevertheless, US sales were almost up, increasing 8.3%.
Alongside its third-quarter results, Hain Celestial announced its third major acquisition in the UK in 18 months. The company has snapped up organic baby food business Ella’s Kitchen for an undisclosed sum.
