US retailer Stop & Shop/Giant Food has made a raft of appointments, including senior vice presidents for business insight and real estate.
The company, which is owned by Dutch multinational retailer Ahold, has promoted David McGlinchey to the position of senior vice president, business insight and merchandising services. McGlinchey has been at Stop & Shop since 1996.
Meanwhile, Jim Sylvia has assumed responsibility for overseeing Stop & Shop/Giant Food’s real estate portfolio, as well as acquisitions and new and replacement stores.
In a third appointment, Peter Hurtgen has been hired as senior vice president for labour relations at the retailer.
