Aldi has unveiled plans to open a distribution centre in Florida as it eyes expansion in the state.
A spokesperson for the company told just-food that Aldi USA will open a 50,000 square metre distribution centre in Haines City, Florida, next month.
The centre, which cost US$40m, will provide logistical support for 25 stores that Aldi is planning to open throughout central Florida during the autumn.
“Expansion plans to open additional Florida Aldi stores will be determined by the success of the first 25 stores opening this year,” the spokesperson said.
