US-based pasta maker American Italian Pasta has launched Heartland Perfect Balance, the latest in its range of “better-for-you” pastas.
The whole-wheat product joins the company’s Heartland pasta portfolio, which also includes organic pasta and a pasta containing omega-3.
Vice president of marketing Drew Lericos said Heartland Perfect Balance would appeal to “picky” eaters.
“People are increasingly looking for meal options that offer added nutrition to serve their families, but many are unwilling to sacrifice taste for more healthful options,” Lericos said.
