Bakery group CSM is looking to expand a plant in the US, state officials in Utah have announced.

CSM is adding a cookie line to the facility in Weber County in Utah this year, a notice from the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development said.

The company, which supplies bakery products to retailers and foodservice operators, wants to double the size of the site in the next six years, the office said. CSM has indicated it will create 100 new jobs at the plant in that time, it added.

Private-equity group Rhône Capital agreed to buy the bakery supplies business of former Dutch food group CSM last year. The deal left the then CSM to focus on bio-based ingredients. It has since been renamed as Corbion.
