The owner of US supermarket chain Bi-Lo is looking for a buyer for the company.
US private equity group Lone Star Funds has appointed financial advisors to handle the sale of Bi-Lo, one of the leading supermarket chains in the south-east of the country.
The company operates around 230 supermarkets under the Bi-Lo name in four US states.
Lone Star said it would not “disclose developments with respect to the possible sale of the company unless and until its board of directors has approved a specific transaction”.
