Convenience food manufacturer Brigford Foods has posted a net income of US$1.1m for the fourth quarter of 2006, compared to a net loss of $340,000 in Q4 2005, when profits were weighed down by income taxes.
The maker of frozen dough, microwaveable and shelf-stable sandwiches, dry sausages and processed meats yesterday (16 January) said sales rose by 3.2% to $43.2m from $41.9m a year ago.
For the fiscal year ended 3 November, Bridgford earned a profit of $1.2m, from a loss of $943,000 the previous year. Sales for the year were up 2.6% to $134.3m from $130.9m in 2005.
Bridgford’s share price lost $0.05 yesterday to close at $6.24.
