Grains and soybeans producer Bunge North America has announced the promotion of three people to the newly created positions of executive vice president of the unit.

The North American operating arm of Bunge Limited has appointed Tim Gallagher, Larry Clarke and Fred Luckey to the posts.

Gallagher, as senior vice president and general manager, will oversee grain operations and Bunge’s expanding biofuels activities. Clarke, senior vice president and general manager of Bunge Oilseed Processing, takes responsibility for oilseed processing, oils and transportation. Meanwhile, Luckey, the senior vice president and general manager of Bunge Milling, becomes executive vice president focusing on milling operations, procurement and a newly created industrial management organisation.

Bunge North America president and CEO Carl Hausmann said: “Bunge North America has experienced considerable growth over the past few years and our structure no longer fits our current business or our future expansion plans. Tim, Larry and Fred will be responsible for ensuring integration of the value chain as well as identifying and pursuing additional growth opportunities.

“With our expanding participation in biofuels and other growth opportunities, this is an exciting time for Bunge North America. Our new structure will encourage the teamwork and the flexibility we need to expand our business.”
