Campbell Soup Co. has said that it will introduce “clean and simple” labels to its new line of Select Harvest soups in a move to woo increasingly label-conscious consumers.
This autumn, Campbell will launch 44 Campbell’s Select Harvest soups, a range that will be made from readily recognisable ingredients.
“The new Select Harvest line is an important step in the company’s journey in offering delicious soups made from high-quality ingredients that are familiar and desirable to families who enjoy our soups,” said Colin Watts, Campbell general manager.
“These new soups also demonstrate our continued commitment to reducing sodium, with each of the 44 soups meeting the government’s healthy sodium guidelines. You can expect more in the way of cleaner, simpler labels and lower sodium products.”
Campbell said that it will asterisk ingredients that may be unfamiliar and include a definition next to the overall ingredients list.
