US energy bar manufacturer Clif Bar & Co. is to build a new plant in Idaho.

The California-based company is spending US$90m on the bakery, which will be located in Twin Falls. It said 250 jobs would be created.

The plant could expand “over time”, Clif Bar said, with the privately-owned firm putting aside $160m for the project. A total of 450 jobs would then be created, it added.
