US food group ConAgra Foods has signed a deal to buy certain assets from Twin City Foods.

ConAgra told just-food today (18 September) that it had agreed to buy “most assets” of Twin City’s potato processing facility in the state of Washington.

“The facility will be operated by ConAgra Foods Lamb Weston; and we believe the acquisition further strengthens Lamb Weston’s operational capabilities and supports its long-term growth plans,” a ConAgra spokesperson said.

The deal comes just a week after ConAgra agreed to buy Chicago-based Lincoln Snacks, a popcorn snacks manufacturer, for an undisclosed sum.
