US-based wholesale retailer Costco has today (29 May) booked rising third-quarter revenue and earnings as sales rose at home and abroad.
The company posted operating income of US$465.6m for the three months to 11 May, up from $339m a year earlier.
Net sales rose 13% to $16.3bn. Comparable-store sales were up 8%, Costco said.
The company runs 538 wholesale outlets in seven markets, which also include the UK, Japan and Mexico.
